The proximity to the station was a great help to us as we were travelling by train (and bus) rather than by car. The room was fine and the bed comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful, welcoming, attentive and appeared extremely competent. The self service breakfast was very adequate in choice and the servers very attentive despite being extremely busy clearing tables and replenishing the food plates as they coped with the quantity of guests. Good value for money, particularly when you bear in mind the cost of accommodation on the islands of Venice. Travelling into Venice on the number 2 bus was an adventure in itself but the good nature and charm of the local people more than compensated for the crush once on board, after all, this is public transport and the three day pass for buses and vaporetti was extremely cheap and well worth the investment! We would certainly consider staying at the Tritone again.
